Hi there, Here is the most expensive sentence in team off-sites. "Best one yet." People say it at the end of a good one. The food was great, the views were better, someone got vulnerable, everyone hugged. Then they fly home, the inbox swallows them, and within three weeks it is like it never happened. A great experience that changes nothing is not a win. It is a costly memory. I have designed, facilitated, and watched hundreds of these. The ones that stick are not the ones with the best ropes course (although I love a great pamper pole!) They are the ones built to transfer. Someone owns keeping it alive. The link to real work gets named before anyone travels home and there is a plan for week two and week six, not just the days away. That is the fourth of the four decisions in my free field guide, the one most people treat as an afterthought. It is the one that decides whether you invested your money, time, and energy well or wasted it. If you have not grabbed the guide yet, it is here.
P.S. Think back to the last team gathering you went to or hosted. What actually changed once everyone got home? Hit reply and tell me. I read every response. |
